Football Tournament for The Waterways Trust Gala Shield will take place on Friday evening King George V Park at 6.15 pm
Disco, for 12 and under, in the North Church Hall on Friday evening
Over 30's versus under 30's, at football pitch round about 10.30 am Saturday
Gala Day officially starts at 2 pm Saturday 24 July 2010
with Mid Argyll Pipe Band starting proceedings
From 2 pm until about 4 Ardrishaig comes alive with fun and games for young and not so young
with 'Kangaroo Boxing', Bouncy Castles, Crazy Golf, Shinty, Beat the Goalie, Balloons (no,
not Dougy and Jim!) and other assorted stalls and attractions.
If you're peckish or thirsty there will be a burger stall, ice cream van (and hopefully teas in the Community Hall) as well as access to the different salubrious hostelries. Speaking of attractions
the massive M8 Recovery Wagon has been confirmed as coming along (thanks to Ronnie M for arranging this) and will be on display, as will the MacBraynes Bedford postbus which should bring
back fond memories to people of a certain vintage.
Presentations and Civic Reception will be at 5 pm in the North Church Hall
On Saturday evening the Gala Dance will feature " The Democrats", tickets on sale from usual outlets.
Ardrishaig Gala - 24th July 2010
The next meeting of the Gala Committee will take place on Wednesday 21 July, 2010 at the Slainte Bar at 8.00pm. Everyone Welcome.
The gala committee would like to thank everyone who took part in the gala last year and made it a great day. There are some photographs and the boat race u tube video featuring Fran & Jock who managed to raise sponsorship for the McMillan nurses not , for winning, but for the pure entertainment value.
